Staccato Films (1989) has 20 feature length fiction films and 10 cinema documentaries to its credit, premiering at festivals like Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Rotterdam, IDFA and Sundance. THE DEVIL’S DOUBLE (budget €16m), with James Bond-director Lee Tamahori, sold over 100 countries and was distributed by Lionsgate, Icon, Amazon and Netflix.

Other features include MOONLIGHT (winner Hollywood Film Festival), Oscar-entry PAULINE & PAULETTE (audience award Cannes), SUZY Q (debut Carice van Houten, Michiel Huisman) and BUENOS AIRES VICE VERSA (Un Certain Regard). Production services in The Netherlands were provided for Disney and many other companies. Additionally, the company produced countless commercials, shorts and a record album.

Most films were financed with the support of the Netherlands Film Fund, as co-productions with a number of countries. Shooting took place in Europe, USA, South America, Middle East and India. We cherish a special relationship with Suriname.

Kayleigh Kok

Kayleigh Kok (born 2001) is a queer producer and storyteller. Her journey began with a degree in International Business, where she focused on strategy, finance, and intercultural cooperation. However, she felt something was missing: stories, humanity, and nuance. This realization led her to the Netherlands Film Academy, where she discovered that producing demands not only structure, but also vision, empathy, and courage.

She interned at Witfilm and Staccato, contributed to international fiction and documentary projects, and participated in collaborations on sustainability, human rights, and culture through the European Commission. In 2025, she graduated with three films exploring themes of freedom, identity, and the relationship between people and their environment. She is currently pursuing the 2.5-year master’s program in International Producing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, while continuing her work at Staccato. Her goal is to further elevate the Netherlands on the international film stage.
